Ingredient & Product Use Notice
Bramble & Bear™ soaps are handmade for external cleansing use only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or skin condition.
Individual sensitivities and allergies vary. Please review the full ingredient list for each product before use, especially if you have known sensitivities or allergies. Discontinue use if irritation occurs and avoid contact with eyes.
Our soaps are made with a variety of plant oils, fragrance oils, colorants, botanicals, clays, and other soapmaking ingredients. Although we are careful in our process, ingredients and finished products may be handled in the same workspace and may come into contact with shared tools, surfaces, or equipment.
If you have a known allergy or sensitivity, please contact us before purchasing.
About Our Soap
Are your soaps handmade?
Yes. Bramble & Bear™ soaps are handmade in small batches. Because of this, each bar may vary slightly in color, pattern, swirl, weight, texture, or appearance.
These small variations are part of the charm of handcrafted soap.
What is cold process soap?
Cold process soap is made by combining oils and sodium hydroxide through a traditional soapmaking process called saponification.
After the soap is made, it cures for several weeks. This helps create a firmer, milder, longer-lasting bar.
Do your soaps contain lye?
Sodium hydroxide, also called lye, is required to make traditional cold process soap.
During saponification, sodium hydroxide reacts with oils to create finished soap. Properly made and cured soap does not contain active lye.
Why does the exact weight vary slightly?
Each bar is cut and cured by hand. As handmade soap cures, water naturally evaporates, so the final bar weight may vary slightly from batch to batch and over time.
We list a target or approximate weight where appropriate.
Ingredients & Sensitivities
Are your soaps vegan?
Most Bramble & Bear™ soaps are designed to be vegan-friendly going forward except for the Oatmeal Milk & Honey soap.
Please check each product page for the most accurate ingredient information. Some early, studio, seasonal, or limited batches may contain milk, honey, or other non-vegan ingredients if clearly noted.
Are your soaps fragrance-free?
Only soaps specifically labeled as unscented or fragrance-free are made without added fragrance.
Please review the product description and full ingredient list before purchasing if you are sensitive to fragrance.
Can I use handmade soap on my face?
Our soaps are intended for external cleansing use. Everyone’s skin is different, so please use your own judgment and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Avoid contact with eyes.
Do your soaps treat eczema, acne, psoriasis, or other skin conditions?
No. Bramble & Bear™ soaps are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or skin condition.
Our soaps are sold as cleansing products only. We do not make medical or therapeutic claims.
Are your soaps cosmetics?
Bramble & Bear™ soaps are made and marketed as cleansing soap. We avoid medical or therapeutic claims.
For ingredient and use details, please review each individual product page.
Soap Care
How long does handmade soap last?
Handmade soap lasts longest when allowed to dry between uses.
For best results, place your soap on a draining soap dish and keep it out of standing water or direct streams of water.
How should I store my soap?
Store unused soap in a cool, dry place with airflow.
Avoid storing handmade soap in airtight plastic containers for long periods, especially in warm or humid conditions.
Once in use, keep the bar on a draining soap dish so it can dry between uses.
When should I use my soap for the best scent experience?
For the best scent experience, we recommend using your soap within 12 months of purchase.
The soap may still be usable after that time if stored properly, but fragrance naturally softens over time.

Are lifestyle images exact representations of the soap?
Lifestyle images are styled to reflect the scent, mood, and visual atmosphere of each soap.
Please refer to the main product photos, product description, and ingredient list for the most accurate representation of the soap you will receive.
Will the bar I receive look exactly like the photo?
Each Bramble & Bear™ soap is handmade in small batches, so color, pattern, swirl, texture, and decorative details may vary slightly from bar to bar.
Product photos are representative of the batch, but the exact bar you receive may not be identical to the one shown.
